This Saturday will be the WVU Spring Game and will give fans a look at this year’s team but fans won’t be the only ones watching with interest. There are expected to be several highly touted recruits on campus to catch the action and the Mountaineers are hoping to leave a lasting impression on them.

2016 QB Cody Saunders recruitment took an unexpected turn this past week when the Mountaineers offered him. Saunders instantly put WVU at the top of his recruitment and immediately plan a trip to WVU for this weekend’s Spring Game.

2016 WR Steven Smothers announced in an interview that he has a top 3 with the Mountaineers as his leader. WVU has always been there and has kept their relentless pursuit of the talented 4 star WR but it’s not just the coaching staff lending a hand as current Mountaineers the Adams’ twins are helping the Mountaineers cause.

2016 S Marcelino Ball is the prospect to watch this weekend for a commit to the Mountaineers. WVU’s interest in the talented S is noted and Ball wants to use this weekend to see how he feels on campus at WVU.

2016 RB Adrian Killins announced this week that the Mountaineers are in his top 2 along with instate school Miami. He will visit WVU this summer and plans to commit to either school during his visits to each respected school.

JUCO DT Na’Ty Rodgers received an offer from WVU this week and it’s not the first time WVU has offered him. The Mountaineers offered him out of high school and are trying to land the former All American DT via the JUCO route.

JUCO OL Tate Leavitt was offered by WVU this past week and his hoping to make a visit to WVU in the near future. Leavitt holds 12 offers and wants to visit all his interested schools before making a decision.

2017 in state ATH Derek Pitts picked up an offer from the Mountaineers during their opening spring practice and will visit again this weekend. Pitts is viewed as one of the top prospects in 2017 and the Mountaineers are hoping to impress him this weekend and keep him instate.

2018 RB Ricky Slade picked up an offer this week from Nebraska and WVU. The Mountaineers are hoping to get Slade on campus soon but the talented running backs holds offers from 15 universities and is expected to be one of the top RB’s available in the 2018 class.
