Adam Tulloch and Madison Jeffrey were drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Jeffrey was the first of the two selected, as he was drafted 462nd overall in the 15th round. Jeffrey did not have his best year this past year, throwing 20 innings, with a 6.75 ERA. Jeffrey finished with 28 strikeouts in those 20 innings, while walking 23.
Jeffrey struggled at time to find his command, but he has serious stuff, with a fastball that can reach the upper 90’s and a breaking ball that will continue to get better.
Tulloch was drafted 522nd overall in the 17th round by the Dodgers as well. Tulloch is a left-handed pitcher who shined at times and went in and out of the rotation this past season. Tulloch threw 37.1 innings, striking out 52 with a 6.27 ERA.
Tulloch is not as much of a flamethrower as Jeffrey, relying more on his off-speed to then use his fastball to get outs.
Tulloch and Jeffrey will each have the opportunity to return to school as they were only juniors this past season and can choose to return to school.
