In light of COVID-19, the 2020 college football season is anything but normal. And perhaps, college sports will never be what we once considered ‘normal’ again.
The Big Ten conference was the first of the Power 5 to announce they would not be participating in fall sports, including football. Over the weekend, a petition was started by Ohio State’s quarterback Justin Fields stating the decision was not made with the wants of the players in mind. The petition quickly amassed 30,000 signatures.
After the petition from Fields, many of the Ohio State players’ parents started to ask questions about the decision made for their children.
Finally, the SEC is set to announce their 2020 football season on Monday evening on their television network. Football fans will be awaiting just the ACC’s football schedule after Monday night’s announcement.
