West Virginia is one of five Big 12 teams in the top 25 rankings in the coaches poll including Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. The Mountaineers have not been in the top 25 in either poll since week eleven in the 2014 season until knocked out by Texas for the rest of the season. This is the 37th under Dana Holgerson that West Virginia has been in the AP Poll’s top 25.

The Mountaineers will travel to Norman on Saturday, October 3rd to take on the Oklahoma Sooners to open Big 12 play. The Sooners will be the first ranked team the Mountaineers have faced this season.  The game will be televised at noon eastern on Fox Sports 1.
