Best Virginia Finds Out Tournament Field as They Look to Host Regional in TBT

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – (June 21, 2021) — The Basketball Tournament—TBT—announced the tournament field on Monday afternoon for the winner-take-all bracket.

Best Virginia [West Virginia alumni] is hosting the West Virginia regional with Herd That [Marshall alumni] in Charleston, West Virginia from July 17-21.

Best Virginia received a No. 2 seed, while Herd That received a No. 3 seed in the regional. Best Virginia will take on No. 15 WoCo Showtime [Wofford alumni] in the first round. The two will square off on July 17, at 2 p.m.

Best Virginia is led by former player John Flowers (2008-11) who serves as the team’s general manager. Flowers and company put together a roster of former WVU basketball alumni over the past few months.

  • Logan Routt (2015-20)

These alumni will be coached by James Long, Da’Sean Butler, and Dave Tallman.

Best Virginia will be scrimmaging in preparation for the 2021 TBT when they travel to Beckley on July 7 and Wheeling on July 9. The ticket link will be available in the tweet below!
