Ashley O’Brien: West Virginia comes off of a solid performance against Oklahoma. It is set to be a gorgeous fall day in Morgantown, and I think the Mountaineers will ride the momentum from last week and start their climb to try and meet Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship. I think with time, the offensive chemistry will get better, and the defense will continue to dominate the way they have for most of the season. The Mountaineers should win by at least two touchdowns and I believe they will do just that.

Wesley Shoemaker: This will be a prove it game for West Virginia. Prove against a team that will be playing their backup quarterback, that the defensive performance against Oklahoma was not a fluke. Prove they are for real, prove they can compete with anyone in the league. This same Texas Tech quarterback hurt West Virginia last year and I expect the Mountaineers are going to want their revenge. Expect West Virginia to have an emphasis on second half scoring, and I think the Mountaineers take their anger from last week’s loss out on the Red Raiders.

Ethan Bock: Texas Tech is not going to enjoy their trip to Morgantown this year. The Mountaineers are pissed, they know they outplayed the best team in the Big 12 at their own place. Texas Tech is coming off allowing 70 points to Texas, WVU should be able to put points on the board against this TTU defense. Texas RB Bijan Robinson rushed for 136 yards on this below average rush defense from Texas Tech. Expect Leddie Brown to have a solid game. Whether or not Neal Brown runs with Jarret Doege, Garrett Greene or both, West Virginia will use the Red Raiders as a punching bag this week.
This game isn’t even close.

Quinn Burkitt: Coming off one of the closest losses to powerhouse No. 6 Oklahoma last week West Virginia is looking forward to coming home and kicking off their home conference slate of games against Texas Tech. The Red Raiders will be without starting quarterback Tyler Shough after suffering a broken collarbone in his team’s loss to Texas last week. A Mountaineer defense that has shown everyone they can be legit should be able to take care of a backup quarterback and a Texas Tech team that hasn’t appeared in a bowl game since 2017.

Carleigh Minor: Moving from a very intense game against Oklahoma last week, the Mountaineers are going to bring their A-game this Saturday. Being a home game I think the fans will give the Mountaineers the support they need coming off of a recent loss. I think our quarterback is going to be making some good throws down the field ensuring decent touchdowns. I also believe Leddie Brown is going to have an amazing game. I personally don’t think it’s going to be a close game, the Mountaineers are going to blow Texas Tech out of the water.

Hayley Maguire: Homecoming weekend is here for the mountaineers. This weeks rivalry between WVU and Texas tech should be a good one. Wvu is coming out of the weekend almost upsetting Oklahoma while tech is coming off of a huge 70-35 loss against Texas. The mountaineers are 0-2 against tech under Neal brown. Tech is down their starting quarterback due to injury and I think that’s going to play to the mountaineers advantage since they have been struggling to score in the second half. It’ll definitely be a nail biter but with mountaineers home field advantage and their defensive line pulling through they’ll come out with a win.

Aaron Parker: I think the Mountaineers will come off of the heartbreaking Oklahoma loss with a good performance. I think they will get the running game going a little bit better, with Leddie Brown scoring two touchdowns. I think Neal Brown will continue to get Garrett Greene some snaps, and I think he’ll score a touchdown from a short distance. I think Jarret Doege will throw for one touchdown to Sam James. I think there will be some early struggles to contain Henry Colombi, but I think the defense will set in and get some key stops.
