With national signing day less than two months away will start bringing you updates every Tuesday and Friday mornings of the latest happenings surrounding WVU targets.

– Immediate reaction to Dawson’s departure has been somber but uneventful from recruits that got to know him. There have been no immediate decommitments as of now and most recruits have stated they will stay committed to WVU, including QB Chris Chugunov.

-As expected, 4 star CB Rasul Douglas committed to WVU on Wednesday. BGS was told after the commitment Douglas has been 100% a Mountaineer for some time. Make no mistake, this is a huge get for the Mountaineers.

–  As we reported earlier this week WVU has offered 3 star RB T.J. Simmons who is currently committed to UCLA. We had been told that one reason for the offer was to try to get him on campus. It seems that will now happen as he plans to visit sometime in January.

– 4 star CB out of Miramar, FL, Tyrek Cole, has stated that he plans to enroll early to WVU which will make him available for spring practice.

Jovon Durante, 4 star WR from Miramar, will also be enrolling early.

– As we had reported earlier in the week, Robert Landers decommitted from WVU this week after receiving an offer from Ohio State last weekend.

-Highly sought after WR Isaac Whitney committed to USC on Thursday. WVU was on the outside looking in with this prospect. The best chance WVU had was if USC had planned to pass on Whitney. Unfortunately for WVU, USC saw him as a keeper.

-4 star RB out of Youngstown, OH, Darrin Hall, has stated that he will visit WVU. Hall recently decommitted from Pitt

-Another recent decommitment from Pitt, Rob Dowdy, had WVU in his top 5 before choosing Pitt. He has stated that he will start taking visits again. Keenan Cummings of tells me that he expects Dowby to take a visit to WVU soon but has yet to set a date. Dowdy is rated as a 4 star offensive lineman.

-Speaking of Pitt there is still no further developments on 4 star CB Jordan Whitehead.

-Most recruiting services are keeping Miramar 3 star safety Kendrell McFadden as committed to WVU although he stated last week he plans to look around.
