Bob Huggins named a finalist for Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame

West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins has been named a finalist for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class of 2022.

The Mountaineer head coach has 914 career wins, two Final Four appearances, is a six-time national coach of the year, as well as having 25 NCAA Tournaments appearance. Huggins is the fourth all-time winningest coach in Division I college basketball history.

Huggins is currently in his 15th season as the head coach at West Virginia and his 40th season as a head coach. Huggins has been the head coach at Walsh College, Akron, Cincinnati, Kansas State and West Virginia.

Huggins played college basketball at West Virginia, and as the Mountaineer head coach he has 324 victories in the gold and blue. Huggins is from Morgantown, West Virginia, and he received two degrees from WVU.
