IRVING, Texas – The bracket is established for the 2021 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship held at Kansas City’s Municipal Auditorium from March 11-14.
Baylor is the top-seed after securing its 11th consecutive and 12th overall Big 12 regular-season title. The Lady Bears (22-2, 17-1) are No. 6 nationally and projected as a No. 2 seed in the latest NCAA Top 16 Reveal.
Other seeds include No. 2 West Virginia, No. 3 Oklahoma State, No. 4 Iowa State, No. 5 Texas, No. 6 Oklahoma, No. 7 Texas Tech, No. 8 TCU, No. 9 Kansas and No. 10 K-State.
Seeds 7-10 will open the Championship in the first round on Thursday, while seeds 1-6 earn a first round bye and begin play Friday.
Eight different teams have won the previous 23 women’s championships, led by Baylor with 10 titles. In 2019, the Lady Bears captured the trophy with a 67-49 victory over No. 2-seed Iowa State.
Tickets for the 2021 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship are on sale now. Prices are $20 or $10 per seat, depending on location. Seating capacity for Championship will be reduced in accordance with guidelines from local public health officials including utilizing a Pod Seating structure. As an additional precaution, masks are required for guests at all times, except when actively eating or drinking in their seats, unless otherwise exempted by law. Pods are available in groups of 2-8 and will be physically distanced from one another. Pods must be purchased in their entirety and may not be divided. All pods are subject to availability.
They are available at Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster locations or through the Municipal Auditorium Box Office. The box office hours are Monday – Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. CT. All individuals ages two and up must have a ticket.
Six games will be distributed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+, while the first two quarterfinal games air on ESPNU. The Championship Final is set for a Noon CT tip on Sunday, March 14, on ESPN2.
