The college basketball season is a long way from crowning a national champion, but that hasn’t stopped ESPN bracket guru Joe Lunardi from updating his latest edition of Bracketology.

Lunardi currently has the Mountaineers as a No. 4 seed in the Midwest, and would play out of Louisville against No. 13 Eastern Washington.

West Virginia has pushed to a 15-2 record, both losses by a combined 3 points. The Mountaineers have an RPI of 14 and a SOS of 57 according to ESPN.com.

No. 16 West Virginia will travel to Austin this weekend to face No. 20 Texas, a game televised by ESPN.

Tip is set for 6:15 ET.
