BREAKING: Oliver Luck to Leave WVU

Multiple reports have indicated that WVU athletic director Oliver Luck will be leaving WVU to take a position with the NCAA. Mike Casazza broke the story stating that Oliver Luck will be taking a position with NCAA that will put him directly under NCAA President Mark Emmert. The job will be “something of second-in-charge there to oversee NCAA reform.” according to the report.

It will now be up to WVU President Gordon Gee to find Luck’s replacement. Luck has long been a proponent of reform within the NCAA. Now it appears this will be his job moving forward. Reports also indicate that the position Luck will be taking was created specifically for him.

Reports state that Luck will also resign from the college playoff committee to take this new position. There is no official statement from WVU at this time. Stay with to keep up on the latest.
