Bridgeport Athlete Commits

The West Virginia University football staff stayed inside the borders this week to offer and then accept a new 2016 verbal commitment.

Linebacker Dylan Tonkery received the Mountaineer offer late in the week and then pulled the trigger becoming the third commit in the 2016 class, joining linebacker Logan Thimons and athlete Jeremiah Jones.

Tonkery, 6-1 and 185-pounds, plays linebacker for Bridgeport, the same position his older brother Wes plays for the Mountaineers.

Fresh off the heels of another AA-State Championship, the Mountaineer offer was the cherry on top.

A solid addition to the 2016 class Tonkery is much like his older brother with decent speed and above average size. Expect him to play much like Wes at the next level.
