MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – (October 3rd, 2020) — West Virginia has flipped three-star athlete, Davis Mallinger, from Central Florida to become the last commitment for the class of 2021.
The multi-positional athlete had WVU in his original favorites with Auburn, Illinois, South Carolina, and UCF.
Mallinger committed to UCF back in April, but when he heard that he could not take a visit to any schools until next year, the Florida athlete decommitted from Central Florida and committed to West Virginia Friday night.
The new WVU commit has ran a 10.74 in the 100-meter dash and 21.57 in the 200-meter. Mallinger says that Tavon Austin was his favorite WVU player, how fitting.
Neal brown finishes his 2021 class ranked at 37th in the country now after Mallinger’s commitment. They remain in 4th in the Big 12, according to 247 Sports.
