Seattle, WA. – NFL defensive end and record-setting Mountaineer Bruce Irvin is heading back to his ‘home’ in the NFL, where his career all began. Irvin announced on Twitter Wednesday that he is returning to the Seattle Seahawks.
Irvin was drafted 15th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Seahawks.
Irvin was on the 2014 Super Bowl winning Seahawks team, left for the Oakland Raiders in 2015, traveled to his childhood home to play for the Atlanta Falcons in 2018 and then spent the 2019 season with the Carolina Panthers.
The terms of his current contract with the Seahawks was not yet disclosed, but it is obvious the Mountaineer is excited to be returning to Seattle for the 2020-2021 season.
