Former WVU running back Andrew Buie will be suiting up next season for UNC-Charlotte as a graduate transfer. Buie had left the WVU program after this past season where he ran for 232 yards and 2 touchdowns but sought more playing time with another program.

Buie showed flashes of promise during his career at WVU including a 2012 season where he ran for 851 yards and seven touchdowns but personal issues arose than derailed his career from there.

Buie would leave the Mountaineer program before the 2013 season for personal reasons but would return last season to try to reestablish himself as the Mountaineers lead back. He would be part of a rotation last season and would leave the WVU program following.

Buie will join current Charlotte running back Kalif Phillips, who is fresh off a stellar season where he ran for 1,436 yards and 20 touchdowns but will provide them with a change of pace back capable of scoring with each touch.
