Checking in on Miles McBride’s Draft Stock

Miles “Deuce” McBride is now about a month away from having to make the biggest decision of his life. Stay at West Virginia or stay in the 2021 NBA draft?

Ever since the Mountaineers lost in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in March, McBride’s draft stock has seemed to rise as the days go on. As we finish the first week of June, let’s see where McBride is projected to go in the draft.

The Athletic – 36th overall to New Orleans

Bleacher Report – 31st overall (2nd round) to Milwaukee

NBADraft.net – 22nd overall to Los Angeles [Lakers]

USA Today – 27th overall to Brooklyn

Here are the dates to keep an eye on for McBride’s process over the next few weeks.

  • June 21-27: NBA draft combine
  • July 7: Deadline for an early entry player to withdraw from the draft and maintain their collegiate eligibility
  • July 19: Deadline for an early entry player to withdraw from the NBA draft (5 p.m. EST)
