Coach Brown’s second season in Morgantown officially days away from starting

Morgantown, W.Va. – After the basketball trials of February, Mountaineer nation is surely ready for more positive vibes ahead for Mountaineer sports. The basketball team finally won Tuesday night, the baseball team had four pitchers through a no-hitter.

Mountaineer football is finally back. Spring practice is under a week away and all is right with the world.

The Mountaineers start their spring football run next week and the spring’s Gold and Blue game Saturday April 18.

West Virginia will host their Pro Day in anticipation of the 2020 NFL Draft on Wednesday, March 25 at the Caperton Indoor Facility. Saturday March 28 will be the program’s Family Day. Head Coach Neal Brown will host a Coach’s Clinic the weekend of April 3-4 for high school coaches to come learn from the Mountaineers’ head coach. Finally, the spring program will conclude with the formerly mentioned Gold and Blue Game, with $10 tickets and proceeds going to benefit WVU Children’s Hospital.

West Virginia football finished the 2019 with a 5-7 record and in the bottom half of the Big 12. After a well-discussed rebuilding season, Brown’s team will have the chance to showcase marked improvement between March’s spring practice and the 2020 season opener September 5 against the Florida State Seminoles in Atlanta, Georgia.
