Former West Virginia offensive lineman Colton McKivitz was selected with the 153rd pick in the fifth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday
The 6-foot-7, 312-pound offensive tackle started all 12 games this season for the Mountaineers. He had zero missed assignments in six games and logged only 22 negative plays.
McKivitz was second in the Big 12 for highest pass blocking grade (83.0), fourth in the conference for highest run blocking grade (67.0) and sixth in the Big 12 for fewest sacks given up (1). He led WVU with 34 knockdown blocks and registered 13 great blocks
The Jacobsburg, Ohio native was a 2020 Reese’s Senior Bowl participant. He was named to the 2019 Walter Camp All-America Second Team, the 2019 Associated Press All-America Third Team, the 2019 Big 12 Conference Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year and the 2019 All-Big 12 Conference First Team.
During his tenure with the Mountaineers, McKivitz played in 50 games and started 47.
