MORGANTOWN, W.Va–Former West Virginia standout David Sills V went undrafted in the 2019 NFL draft but signed as a free agent with the Buffalo Bills.
In his senior season, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound wide receiver led the Mountaineers with 65 catches and 15 receiving touchdowns. He was second on the team with 986 yards.
Over the last two seasons, Sills holds the national mark for most receiving touchdowns with 33. He was first in the Big 12 in receiving touchdowns and second in the nation.
Last season the Wilmington, Del. native was named a team captain and WVU Offensive Player of the Year.
Sills was a two-time All-Big 12 First-Team Selection in both 2017 and 2018. He was named to the Walter Camp All-American Second Team and an AP All-American Third Team.
Sills was also a Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist.
Several other Mountaineers signed with teams on Saturday.
Safety Dravon Askew-Henry signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers and defensive tackle Kenny Bigelow signed with the New Orleans Saints. Safety Toyous Avery is heading to the Seattle Seahawks’ mini rookie camp.
