Defensive Back Prospect Discusses WVU

DB prospect Cycoby Burch is one of Florida’s most underrated prospects, after originally committing to Wisconsin the 6’1 190 lb safety reopened his recruitment and he looks to have a leader heading into the summer.

Burch was offered by the Mountaineers back in February and WVU continues to impress the talented defensive prospect. ” Yes they are my top school number 1″ Burch said after being asked where the Mountaineers stood in his recruitment process. While Wisconsin is still in the picture for Burch, the relationship that he has built with his position coach, Joe DeForest, is a big factor in his recruitment. “I have been talking to Joe DeForest my safety coach, they were my first offer and we just had a connection since then.”

Burch will be visiting WVU at the end of the month and will get a chance to speak with Tony Gibson to see where he will fit in the 3-3-5 scheme. It appears to be a two team race for Burch but Burch won’t rush his decision. “I don’t know exact date but I know soon” Burch said about his timeframe to commit but the Mountaineers appear to be in a great place to land the talented safety.

Burch currently holds 15 offers and is rated a 3 star by BGS.
