NORMAN, Okla.–Kristian Doolittle scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Oklahoma defeated No. 13 West Virginia 69-59 on Saturday afternoon.
Brady Manek had 11 points for the Sooners (14-8, 5-5 Big 12).
Jermaine Haley led the Mountaineers (18-5, 6-4) with 15 points. Oscar Tshiebwe had 12 points and nine boards.
Oklahoma outrebounded WVU 42-41.
The Mountaineers forced 19 turnovers but cold shooting hurt them. WVU shot 31.6 percent from the floor, 40 percent from 3 and 62.5 percent from the charity stripe.
The Sooners shot 44.9 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from beyond the arc.
WVU took an early lead but with Tshiebwe on the bench most of the first half Oklahoma was able to go on a 17-2 run to push them ahead 26-10.
The Mountaineers had a chance to pull within one as Chase Harler got off a 3 but Derek Culver was whistled for a flagrant foul under the basket. Then De’Vion Harmon sank a long 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Sooners a 31-24 lead at the half.
WVU returns home to take on No. 3 Kansas on Wednesday night.
