New York – West Virginia alum Dravon Askew-Henry is the latest of XFL standouts to make their way over to the NFL this week. Askew-Henry has signed with the New York Giants after his spring with the XFL’s New York Guardians.
The defensive back was actually a running back in high school, but switched to the defense during his time in Morgantown and never looked back. Askew-Henry graduated from West Virginia in 2018 after a decorated career as a Mountaineer, starting all 51 games in his career and setting the record for game starts. Askew-Henry was signed as a free agent to the Steelers after the 2019 draft, but did not make the 83-man roster for the 2019-2020 season.
The Giants agreed to a two-year deal with the Mountaineer, who is also the first defensive player to be signed to the NFL from the XFL.
