Experts Still Like WVU to Liberty Bowl

As the college football season starts down the home stretch bowl predictions among the experts start to fall in line. For weeks now WVU has been predicted to go to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee. The Big 12 has a total of 7 bowl tie-ins this season including the College Playoff. Those tie-ins are :

College Football Playoff
Valero Alamo Bowl
Russell Athletic Bowl
AdvoCare Texas Bowl
AutoZone Liberty Bowl
Cactus Bowl
Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl (backup)

While most feel the Liberty Bowl is the final destination for the Mountaineers this postseason there are some that feel WVU could move up one bowl to the Texas Bowl in Houston which also matches up the Big 12 vs the SEC. A full list of the most recent predictions can be found at here.

There are still plenty of games yet to be played before the final determination is made. WVU could still finish as high as 2nd in the Big 12 putting them in the Alamo Bowl. If both TCU and WVU were to win out TCU would inevitably get an invitation to the College Playoff while WVU would finish no worse than 4th in the Big 12, ahead of Oklahoma, putting them in Houston for the holidays.
