It’s no secret the WVU football staff has focused on the defense for the 2017 recruiting class, especially the defensive backfield. Now one of their options has narrowed his list to two schools and WVU made the cut.

Exree Loe, a 6’0 175 lbs. cornerback from Johnstown (PA), has listed WVU and Maryland as his two finalist with a decision coming later this month. “I am looking to commit during my first game on August 26th,” the three star defensive back said of his announcement date. Loe was a participant¬†in the Mountaineers final summer camp this past week and received his official offer from WVU Monday¬†before trimming his list.

“I just feel at home anytime I go to WVU. The coaches are great and the people there are good to me.” Loe would provide WVU with depth at the cornerback position but he won’t be limited to just that area. “Coach Gibson is wanting to move me around the defensive backfield.”

Coach Gibson made a big impression on Loe during his recruitment by WVU. “Coach Gibson is a good guy and a great coach full of energy.” Loe also got to meet his position coach, Coach Blue Adams, during a Junior Day visit earlier in the year.

With Loe feeling so comfortable with WVU, it appears that the Mountaineers are looking good to land another talented defensive back to add to their 2017 class.
