Feel Good Friday: Bruce Irvin makes good on promise, flies young fan out for Seahawks opener

Bruce Irvin Camden AyersYou may remember this past April when we told you about the relationship formed between Seattle Seahawk’s Bruce Irvin and 4-year-old Camden Ayers.

Irvin connected with Ayers, who suffers from a severe form of heart disease, and his family at a gathering he put together for Seahawk’s fans in Florida.

Irvin promised to fly the Ayers family out to Seattle for a game, so that Camden could cross it off of his bucket list.

We are happy to report that Irvin kept true to his word.  Last weekend, the Ayers joined the Irvin family in Seattle – all expenses paid!

Not only did Camden, his parents, and his younger brother attend the Seahawks home opener, but they also got to attend a team practice. The family was introduced to Head Coach Pete Carroll, Steven Hauschka, Marshawn Lynch, and Bobby Wagner.

To learn more about Camden & to see photos from their time together, you can visit the Facebook page Camden’s Journey: Beating the Odds.

I am sure this is a relationship that is just beginning, and an experience that Camden Ayers will never forget.
