Brendan Ferns credit Hudl

4 star LB Brendan Ferns is one of the most sought after defensive players in Ohio but the talented linebacker will not be staying at home for college. Ferns has dropped Ohio State from his list due to the Buckeyes not offering the type of engineering program that he intends to study while playing college football.

Ferns, brother of Michael Ferns who transferred to WVU this summer from Michigan, is considered to be the top WVU target and this news is huge for WVU. Many experts thought that Ferns would stay at home if the Buckeyes offered but that has all changed now.

Ferns, rated as a top 5 ILB in 2016 and 131 in the ESPN top 300, was present for the Mountaineers Junior Day and opening spring practice. Brendan is expected to be make a visit to WVU in the near future, and while WVU looks to be the favorite for him, Penn State is the other school to watch in this process.

Brendan is rated a 4 star by BGS current holds 28 division 1 offers.
