MORGANTOWN W.Va. – After entering the NCAA transfer portal earlier this month, redshirt Junior offensive lineman Josh Sills announced his decision to stay in the Big 12 and join the Oklahoma State football program with this Twitter post, Tuesday morning.
The 6-6 redshirt junior played in just two games for the Mountaineers this past season after undergoing season-ending ankle surgery in September.
Prior to 2019, Sills had started 22 of the last 25 games for the Mountaineers on the offensive line, and his play netted him All-Big 12 Second Team after the 2018 season.
With the transfer, Sills will have two years of eligibility remaining to play for the Cowboys.
The Mountaineers currently have 11 offensive linemen on scholarship, with four more set to enroll in Morgantown during the summer. This number is expected to increase as we get deeper into the Winter and approach Spring practice.
The Mountaineers are set to visit Stillwater on November 14th of 2020 and Sills will seemingly be eligible to play in the contest. West Virginia went 0-3 against OSU during his time in Morgantown.
