Former Mountaineer passes away

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.—Former West Virginia football star Kevin “Boo” McLee passed away at the age of 36 over the weekend.

He played for the Mountaineers from 2002 to 2006, where he played with current defensive backs coach Jahmail Addae.

During his time at WVU, McLee had career with 158 tackles, 23.5 for losses.

After his college days, the linebacker went on to play for the St. Louis Rams of the NFL and the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL.

McLee’s former teammates took to social media on Sunday to mourn his loss.
