BREAKING: Gabe Osabuohien Announces His Return to West Virginia For 2021-22 Season

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – (March 30, 2021) — On Tuesday night, WVU forward Gabe Osabuohien announced his return to the West Virginia basketball program for the 2021-22 season.

The announcement came from The Final Fourcast’s Twitter account, as John Flowers interviewed Osabuohien about his return to the program.

The Toronto, Ontario native is opting into his free COVID year, where he will receive eligibility for next season, despite playing his senior year this season.

Osabuohien averaged 1.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.4 steals and (probably) 2.0 charges per game. As WVU fans know, Osabuohien will leave it all on the floor for the Mountaineers and is much more than what his stats show.

This is big news for the Mountaineers, as they have lost Jordan McCabe (Transfer) and Emmitt Matthews Jr. (Transfer), with the potential departures of Sean McNeil and Taz Sherman, both declaring for the 2021 NBA Draft.
