The injury report is in on J.T. Thomas, and it is devastating news.

Linebacker J.T. Thomas suffered torn ligaments in his left knee and was placed on injured reserve today. His roster spot was taken by kicker Josh Brown, who was reinstated to the 53-man roster after missing Week 1 while serving an NFL suspension.

Thomas was hurt on the final play of the first half, a kickoff that followed Eli Manning’s touchdown pass to Sterling Shepard. Dallas’ Lucky Whitehead fielded the bouncing kickoff at the five. Thomas was closing in on Whitehead and fending off a block by tight end Geoff Swaim when his knee was hit and he went to the ground. Thomas was carted off the field.
