MORGANTOWN, W. Va.—The Gold team defeated the Blue team 23-7 during Saturday’s Gold-Blue Spring Game at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Sam James had four receptions for 85 yards. T.J. Simmons had 60 yards and one touchdown.
Kendall found James for a 39-yard catch that led to Casey Legg’s 34-yard field goal.
“Kendall did some really good things throwing the ball down the field,” head coach Neal Brown said. “He’s got to get the ball out of his hand faster. I think that’s the biggest thing for him. It’s been a long time since he’s played.”
Lowe found Dillion Spalding for a 28-yard touchdown on the last play of the afternoon.
“Trey Lowe had some nice runs,” Brown said. “I think if we were actually tackling the quarterback, he may have even had a couple that had broken off.”
Jack Allison led the Blue team. He completed 11-of-24 passes for 112 yards.
Allison found freshman Randy Fields in the second quarter with a 16-yard score.
Cornerback Keith Washington Jr. and Jordan Adams both had interceptions for the Gold team. Derrek Pitts Jr. and VanDarius Cowan had four tackles each for the Blue team.
