Bob Huggins called the contest a game where two teams couldn’t shoot the basketball, but at the end of the night, West Virginia moved to 14-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Big 12 Conference enroute to a 78-67 win over Texas Tech.
Huggins said the best thing about the win is the team won, and they don’t have to come back to Lubbock this year.
Juwan Staten was still under the weather and was able to find 16-points to lead the Mountaineers.
No. 14 West Virginia will now return home to face No. 17 Iowa State on Saturday night at the WVU Coliseum. Tip is set for 8 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN 2.
