ICYMI: 2021 F Jamel King Commits to WVU

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – (June 24, 2021) — A couple of hours after WVU coach Bob Huggins and his staff snagged a 2023 basketball commit, another commitment by 2021 recruit Jamel King came in on Thursday night.

King—a Scottsdale, Arizona native—was committed to New Mexico but ended up leaving a few weeks ago. The new Mountaineer is listed at 6-foot-7, 180 pounds.

King is listed as a 3-star and a top 175 prospect in the country.

After King’s commitment, West Virginia now has 11 scholarship players on the team as of June 24. Taz Sherman and Gabe Osabouhien do not count as scholarship players. WVU guards Miles ‘Deuce’ McBride and Sean McNeil can be the No. 12 and No. 13 scholarships on the team if they return.
