Morgantown, W.V. – Mere hours before head coach Neal Brown addresses the media in his weekly coach’s conference, another piece to the quarterback puzzle was found. Bowling Green State University quarterback transfer Jarret Doege got his answer from the NCAA on eligibility for the season.
Doege is eligible to play in the 2019 season.
Allan Taylor of The Athletic is first to report the breaking news this morning per his twitter account. Per Taylor, the transfer quarterback has been ruled eligible for the upcoming season; starting in twelve days.
Doege’s immediate eligibility begs the question that has been asked about a thousand times as of late. Who is going to be leading the team this season, who’s QB1 for the Mountaineers. As of Monday, the quarterback options were Austin Kendall, Jack Allison, and Trey Lowe. Now that Doege is eligible for play, and his eligibility coming the day many assumed Coach Brown would name his starting quarterback, many are likely asking who takes the lead?
The question may be answered today in Brown’s conference, but if you would like to speculate and discuss, check out our thread on our Blue Gold Sports forum here.
