MORGANTOWN, W.Va–According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Jevon Carter re-signed with the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.
The former West Virginia standout agreed to a three-year, $11.5 million deal.
Carter is known for his gritty defense but has been an offensive asset at times. During the Suns’ bubble run, the 6-foot-1 guard was a key backup for the team.
Last season Carter averaged 4.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.8 steals per contest. He shot 41.6 percent from the field and 42.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Against the Heat, Carter went off and scored 20 points, including going 6-of-8 from 3-point range.
