In game six of the NBA Western Conference Finals, the Phoenix Suns defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 130-103, to clinch an NBA Finals berth.
This means that Jevon Carter will become the first West Virginia men’s basketball player to reach the NBA Finals since Jerome Anderson did it in 1976. Anderson did it with the Boston Celtics, Carter will be doing it with the Phoenix Suns.
Carter was able to check into game six towards the end of the game. The former Mountaineer great went 1-for-1, with two points in two minutes.
Carter will have an opportunity to check in to an NBA Finals game as the Suns wait for the winner of Milwaukee and Atlanta.
