Morgantown, W.Va-
A week ago, Mountaineer fans and players got devastating news about the season ending injury to safety Karl Joseph. Even though his season is over, he has not given up his leadership role. During pregame warm-ups against Oklahoma State, Joseph was on crutches on the field with his team before heading up to the coaching box.

The process of losing Joseph for the seasoned carried with it a lot of emotions. See below what some players and coach Tony Gibson had to say about number 8:

Joseph took to Instagram today after surgery to repair his ACL.

He captioned his photo: “Face was swollen after the surgery earlier, but thank you Dr. Andrews for a successful surgery, great guy best in the business. #thankyoulord #roadbacktorecovery
Dr. James Andrews is regarded as America’s top surgeon in sports injuries, having performed surgeries on athletes such as Michael Jordan and Peyton Manning.
Joseph will now spend his time rehabbing in hopes to be ready to go for West Virginia’s annual Pro-Day in April in preparation for the NFL draft. Karl is planning on traveling to support his team in Waco this weekend.
