Lackawanna Tight End has Multiple Ties to State

wescoLackawanna Tight End Trevon Wesco is no stranger to the state of West Virginia nor WVU. Wesco, a class of 2016 tight end is originally from Inwood, West Virginia where he attended Musselman High School.

Wesco announced yesterday via Twitter that he had received an offer from WVU as a tight end. At 6’5 260 Wesco possessions speed and size, something he feels the Mountaineers could utilize. It is apparent the WVU coaching staff feels the same way.

As is the feeling with most athletes from the state, Wesco was honored to receive the call. When asked about the potential of an offer from WVU Wesco told me, “It would mean a lot, I grew up going to the games and watching them play and its home”.

However, Wesco’s connection to WVU runs deeper than just being a native of the state. Trevon’s roommate at Lackawanna is no other than Kymir White, the younger brother of former Mountaineer and first round draft pick Kevin White. Kymir also has a standing offer from WVU as a safety. Trevon is also close with Ka’Raun White, Kymir’s older brother, who has already committed to WVU.

Wesco has told me that he remains close with Ka’Raun and that they both would like to play together again at WVU.

Despite WVU being Trevon’s first major offer schools such as Arizona, Pitt, Penn State, and JMU have all shown interest.
