The Mountaineers are coming off a frustrating road loss in their second of five games in row through October and November, and will now play a noon Halloween game against one of the top teams in the Big 12.
The Kansas State Wildcats are coming off a blistering defeat of the Kansas Jayhawks to maintain their standing as the top team in the Big 12, with a 4-1 overall record going into the last weekend of October. The Jayhawks are in year two under head coach Chris Klieman and despite injuries, COVID-19 and learning a new coach’s system the Wildcats are one of two unbeaten teams within the Big 12.
The Mountaineers will look to change that this Saturday in Morgantown.
The teams are tied at 4-4 since the Mountaineers joined the Big 12 in 2012, with the Mountaineers winning in Manhattan last season 24-20. Last season, the Wildcats finished the season at 8-5, with a 5-4 record in the conference and third place in the Big 12.
The Mountaineers and the Wildcats kick off at noon in Morgantown on ESPN2.
