Morgantown, W.Va. – Monday afternoon another week’s AP Top 25 Poll was released for men’s basketball. For the second week in a row. the West Virginia’ men’s basketball team was ranked, climbing three spots from last week.
Going into Christmas, the Mountaineers are now ranked 22nd in the AP Poll.
The Mountaineers have a 10-1 record with one game left before Big 12 play starts. Sunday, December 29, the Mountaineers make a second consecutive bus trip to Northeast Ohio to take on Number 2 Ohio State in Cleveland at Rocket Mortgage Field House.
Joining the Mountaineers in the AP Top 25 are fellow Big 12 teams: 5th ranked Kansas Jayhawks, 7th ranked Baylor, and 23rd ranked Texas Tech.
The Mountaineers open conference play on Saturday January 4th in Lawrence, Kansas to take on the Jayhawks.
