West Virginia University guard Miles ‘Deuce’ McBride was taken in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft, being selected 36th overall by the New York Knicks.
McBride played two seasons at West Virginia, averaging 12.6 points per game, 3.1 rebounds per game and 3.3 assists per game in 60 games played in the gold and blue.
This past season, McBride had somewhat of a breakout year, as he averaged 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.9 steals. McBride was the obvious leader of the Mountaineer’s squad and was one of the main key’s to West Virginia’s success. McBride was also named to the All-Big 12 Second Team this past season after being named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team in his freshman season.
