Miles McBride’s Draft Stock Continues to Rise

After weeks of speculating if Miles “Deuce” McBride would return to West Virginia or head to the NBA, Mountaineer fans finally got their answer and can now root for McBride in the pros.

McBride will be drafted on July 29 into the NBA. About a month ago, McBride was receiving late-first round, early-second round projections. What is his draft stock looking like now with only a couple of weeks to go?

Bleacher Report – 30th overall to the Utah Jazz

CBS Sports – 27th overall to the Brooklyn Nets

NBC Sports – 23rd overall to the Houston Rockets

New York Post – 19th overall to the New York Knicks

USA Today – 19th overall to the New York Knicks

It appears that McBride will most likely be a first round pick after impressing the NBA scouts during the draft combine a few weeks ago. McBride has been training in Phoenix, Brooklyn, and Chicago over the last week or so per his Snapchat story.

McBride seems to be a post-lottery pick in the first round, depending on what team wants him.

McBride would be the first Mountaineer selected in the first round of the NBA Draft since Joe Alexander did in 2008.
