Mountaineers add JUCO defensive lineman Quay Mays

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.–For the 2020 recruiting class, West Virginia picked up junior college defensive tackle Quay Mays on Tuesday.

Mays has two years of eligibility remaining and is expected to enroll in January.

Currently, the 6-foot-2, 290-pound defensive lineman attends Northwest Mississippi Community College. He only played one season of high school football at Manatee High school in Bradenton Fla.

However, Mays racked up 65 tackles, one sack and a blocked field goal.

The Mountaineers were the first to offer Mays but he later picked up offers from Iowa State, North Carolina, Central Florida, Houston, Toledo.
