MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Nov. 4, 2021) – West Virginia University Director of Athletics Shane Lyons and the Big 12 Conference have announced the 2022 conference baseball schedule.
The Mountaineers’ 24-game, league slate features home series against Baylor, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Texas, as well as road trips to Kansas, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas Tech. This spring marks WVU’s 10th season competing in the Big 12.
West Virginia opens conference action with a three-game series at TCU, from April 1-3, in Fort Worth, Texas. From there, WVU is home for back-to-back weekend series against Baylor (April 8-10) and Oklahoma State (April 15-17) at Wagener Field at Monongalia County Ballpark.
From there, WVU travels to Lubbock, Texas, for a series against Texas Tech from April 22-24, before it heads to Kansas for three games from April 29-May 1, in Lawrence, Kansas.
The Mountaineers take on Texas at home from May 6-8, travel to Norman, Oklahoma, for a series against Oklahoma from May 13-15, and finish the regular season at home against Kansas State from May 19-21.
The 2022 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship is scheduled for May 25-29, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Series dates are subject to change. Finalized dates and times will be announced prior to the start of the 2022 season. Additionally, the Mountaineers’ nonconference schedule will be announced at a later date.
