WVU has landed it’s 14th overall commit for the 2016 class in LB Adam Hensley but this gives the Mountaineers 7 commits in the month of June alone.
“After much prayer and thought I have decided to take my career to WVU”, Hensley announced via Twitter this morning.
Adam elaborated on his tweet with BGS saying, “I felt unbelievably comfortable when I visited. It felt a lot like home, the players were close like a family and the coaches are genuine, (WVU) also has an amazing fanbase I want to play for”.
WVU was the first scholarship offer Hensley received and that was a big factor in his recruitment along with his relationship with lead recruiter Bruce Tall. Hensley has seen his stock on the rise this summer especially after his performance at Ohio State camp last week. He has that linebacker instinct to go along with the great athleticism and speed to cover the entire field in Tony Gibson’s 3-3-5 scheme.
The commitment of Hensley along with other commits Zach Sandwisch and Logan Thimons gives the Mountaineers a very formidable combination at linebacker with Brendan Ferns still available.
Hensley held offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Illinois, Miami (OH), and Toledo but choose the school that had been there from the start.
