Mountaineers Continue To Address Secondary

For the second day in a row, the WVU football coaching staff has secured a commit from a defensive back in the prospect of Eugene Brown.

Brown a 6’0 195 lbs. safety from Stephenson (GA), committed to the Mountaineers Sunday night and will provide more depth next season in what will be a rebuilt secondary. Brown held offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, North Carolina State, Rutgers, and Wake Forest while also visiting Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia but chose to play for the Mountaineers after receiving an offer in April from new WVU coach Blue Adams.

Brown has the skill set similar to Karl Joseph in his hitting ability and ability to stop the run. He also has the sideline to sideline speed you look for in a free safety, presumably where WVU will play him.

WVU is facing an uphill battle in rebuilding their secondary after this season but they are off to a good start with the two additions this weekend.
