Mountaineers continue to slide down AP Top 25

Morgantown, W.VA. – The Mountaineers are coming off a three game losing streak, and a slump that has fans fearing the worst as March inches closer. Following losses to two of the top three teams in the country, the Mountaineers dropped three places to number 17.

The Baylor Bears and the Kansas Jayhawks held strong in their spots at numbers one and three, respectively.

The Mountaineers have six games left in the regular season, and will likely need to will all six of those in order to maintain a solid spot going into the Big 12 tournament and later March Madness.

West Virginia returns home to play host to the Oklahoma State Cowboys Tuesday evening at 7:00 and later traveling to Fort Worth, Texas to play the Texas Christian Horned Frogs Saturday afternoon.
