Mountaineers Getting Involved With Top Prospect

With the news of Pitt transfer Durand Johnson committing to St. John this afternoon, WVU is seeing it’s prospect list for the last available scholarship getting shorter, but Bob Huggins still has a plan for the Mountaineers. Coach Huggins and his staff are trying hard to get involved in the recruitment of Elev8 Sports Academy Senior G Kobe Eubanks.

Eubanks, 6’5″ 212 lb 4 star shooting guard ranked #101 in the nation, is currently uncommitted and has seen his recruitment take a different turn due to coaching changes. Bob Huggins was in the Florida area recruiting when he noticed Eubanks and began to recruit him. It’s unclear if Eubanks has any interest in WVU but the Mountaineers are intensifying their pursuit.

Eubanks looked to be lock to commit to Texas after de-committing from Baylor but the coaching change at Texas allowed him to reopen his recruitment and, while Texas is an option, Oregon, Georgia, Missouri, UCLA, and Alabama have entered the picture. Eubanks is planning to schedule visits to his top schools whenever he narrows his list down before making a final decision.

While Bob Huggins may have his work cut out for him since it’s so late in the recruiting period, never discount Coach Huggins from getting the man they want.
