The news over the past couple weeks hasn’t been good in regards to recruiting for WVU but the Mountaineers were handed some very good news today when talented running back prospect Tevin Bush announced his commitment to WVU.
Bush, 5’8 170 lbs. all purpose running back from Landry-Walker (LA), is a highlight reel type back that is very well suited for the type of offense that WVU runs. Bush was a favorite for the Mountaineers once Coach Seider extended an offer to him back in February. “WVU is my dream school because of the way that I would fit in according to Coach Seider.”
Bush has the skill set to step in and take on a Wendell Smallwood type role in the Mountaineers offense. He can run between the tackles and fight for the extra yard but once he gets to the 2nd level, he becomes a handful to tackle in the open field. Another aspect that Bush will contribute is in the passing game which could see him take on a Tavon Austin type role where he lines up at different positions.
With Coach Galloway departing for Louisville earlier in the week, recruiting was expected to take a hit for WVU but that might not be the case. Bush is a talented prospect that will be a key piece for the 2017 class so the Mountaineers are off to a good start with this class.
