Nathan Adrian Returns to Best Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – (April 1, 2021) — On Thursday afternoon, it was announced on the Final Fourcast’s Twitter that former WVU forward Nathan Adrian will be returning to Best Virginia for TBT—The Basketball Tournament—for 2021.

Adrian joins a confirmed list of Tarik Phillip, Juwan Staten, John Flowers and Kevin Jones, who will be playing for Best Virginia in the summer.

Adrian—a Morgantown, West Virginia, native—played under Bob Huggins at West Virginia from 2013-17, helping the Mountaineers to 2-Sweet 16 appearances.

Best Virginia opted out of the tournament last year, but is looking to return to the court for the first time since 2019.

TBT is a tournament-based format that has grown since it’s formation in 2014. The tournament usually consists of around 64 teams, but last year was only able to have 24 teams to form a bubble in Columbus, Ohio.

The tournament winner receives a winner-takes-all prize of $1 Million. ESPN is the sole source of coverage for the tournament in July.

Best Virginia will announce its roster for the 2021 TBT in the upcoming weeks.
